This product now includes our updated Laser Engraved Flex Nameplate.

We’ve updated the nameplate style used on this product to a modern laser engraved flex plate.

These new plates maintain a very similar appearance to the previous engraved plates, while adding several important benefits:

• More durable and resistant to bending
• Full coverage 3M^® adhesive backing
• Lower replacement cost if new plates are ever needed
• Cleaner and more consistent engraving results

Why did we make this change?

We recently invested in new industrial laser engraving equipment that allows us to produce nameplates faster and more consistently.

This helps reduce production time and rising labor costs while still maintaining the high quality standards our customers expect.

Cut your own shapes and designs with acrylic sheet stock.  Acrylic has excellent weatherability, strength, clarity and versatility.  It has a brilliant glass-like quality and laser engraves easily.

• For Outdoor or Indoor Use
• Has a Clear Plastic Protective Masking on Both Sides
• Choose your Thickness
• Engraves to a white / frosted look
• Use a CO2 laser engraver to engrave and cut this material
• Laser Raster settings
  35 watt DPI 400-600 Speed 55% Power 45%
  60 watt DPI 400-600 Speed 80% Power 45%
  Place in Laser so Acrylic is flat and level
  Most Acrylics are reverse engraved on back side
  Testing for correct marking position laser on a test piece or tape a clear piece of plastic on laser image to see if it is centered correctly
• Laser Vector (cutting) settings for 1/8" and 1/4"
  35-watt: 4% speed/100% power 5000Hz 1 pass
  60-watt: 12% speed/100% power 5000Hz 2 passes
  120-watt: 10% speed/85% power 5000Hz 2 passes
• Laser Vector (cutting) settings for 3/8"
  35-watt: 4% speed/100% power 5000Hz 2 passes
  60-watt: 12% speed/100% power 5000Hz 4 passes
  120-watt: 5% speed/85% power 5000Hz 2 passes
• Laser Vector (cutting) settings for 1/2"
  35-watt: 4% speed/100% power 5000Hz 3 passes - edges are wavy (probably too thick for lower wattage lasers)
  60-watt: 6% speed/100% power 5000Hz 3 passes
  120-watt: 3% speed/100% power 5000Hz 2 passes
