This product now includes our updated Laser Engraved Flex Nameplate.

We’ve updated the nameplate style used on this product to a modern laser engraved flex plate.

These new plates maintain a very similar appearance to the previous engraved plates, while adding several important benefits:

• More durable and resistant to bending
• Full coverage 3M^® adhesive backing
• Lower replacement cost if new plates are ever needed
• Cleaner and more consistent engraving results

Why did we make this change?

We recently invested in new industrial laser engraving equipment that allows us to produce nameplates faster and more consistently.

This helps reduce production time and rising labor costs while still maintaining the high quality standards our customers expect.

I purchased the black marble trophy base with 3 drilled thru-holes -- with a counterbore on the underside. The unit is great. I bought 4 of them. It is polished on 5-sides (the bottom is not polished).

My only issue was that I am using this for lampread mores, not a trophy, and ran into one problem. The holes that are drilled are a tad less than the normal 3/8-inch lamp threaded rod. Had the holes been a little larger, it would have been perfect.

This is not the fault of the unit, since it wasn't designed for this, so I gave it 5-stars. However, I did use a 1/2-inch diamond hole-saw to expand the hole to 1/2-inch to support the lamp threaded rod (7/16 would have been perfect, but I couldn't find a 7/16 diamond hole-saw).
